you sit there, laughing at some stupid joke he made, while im here left in the dust. i thought we had something, turns out im just a snowman in the summer, too stupid to even realize something is wrong. yet i can't stop melting, i dont want to ever stop melting. because if i stop melting, it means i lose you, i lose you and your stupid laugh, i lose you and your hands wrapped around my waist, i lose you and i lose your hand curling in mine, i lose your soft touch against my cheek, i lose all of you, all those late night convos and those hushed words in the dark. i will melt for you forever and evaporate into the air never to be seen again if it meant not losing you. you wouldnt even dream of ever getting warmer for me.
