Jackals, wolves, and coyotes
Chewing and gnawing
In mass entanglement
Of red, foaming teeth
And bleeding tongues
Embroiled with
Infernal, breathless
Rock-cat screaming
Packaged prettily
In twinkling, topaz tissue paper
Tied up with red twine
Bees, wasps, and ants
Crawling and stinging
In furious greed
Seeking mass exodus
With needling feet
Emboldened by
Feeble, listless
Baby-bird thrashings
Bound beautifully
In bespeckled, bone-white boxes
Secured with simplistic sinew
