So, I've been in a movie-watching mood lately, and i figured: "why not post some of my reviews!" so that's what im doing XP!! All of this is just personal opinion feel free to disagree with me or whatever but i'm just having fun and playing, okay? okay.
So I recently watched Pearl (2022) and I really liked it ! I haven't seen X (though it IS on my list!) I liked how each kill was unique/different from each other rather than just being the same thing over and over. Shout out my girl Theda the alligator she's cool.
My one thing though, is that I felt like all of the kills happened at/near the end of the movie. I was expecting them to be more spread out, but I think it works well as a sort of, throughout the movie she gets worse and ends up killing those close to her/around her (although i think she starts the movie in a bad place and it just gets worse LOL)
I thought Mia Goth's performance as Pearl was awesome, I liked how most/all of the movie took place on her families farm so you could really see how lonely/isolated it/Pearl is from the rest of the world. I really enjoyed Pearls speech to Mitsy at the end of the movie, i thought it was really well done/performed.
For me personally, I don't know if it has much re watch-ability, I felt like it was a movie you watch once, but again, that's just me personally.
If I had to rate it i'd give it likee idkk 8.5? 9? out of 10? idk man numbers are weird
I also watched 'The Thing' last night but I dont wanna clog the Blog tab so I'll probs post it tomorrow, give myself time to think on it teehee
