I’ve adopted the philosophy that life is transitory. There is no such thing as permanence. Every relationship you forge has a beginning and end and perpetuity is an illusion. But it’s also a bit like books on a shelf. They all have different lengths but page count doesn’t correlate to impact. I’ve read poems and short stories that have imprinted on my soul more deeply than some lengthy novels. And just because something is finite doesn’t mean that the way it changes you is. I’m made up of fragments forged by the bonds I’ve made with every beautiful person I’ve been fortunate enough to share experiences with.
