a list of books i've read

i just felt like making a list of books i've read so far. i'll also add my thoughts about the books, and i guess i'll add a short list of books i plan on reading and that i'm currently reading. also i'm mostly including only long-ish books

i will update this as i add more books to my reading list and as i read more books

books i've read

the outsiders i had to read this for school, so i can't say i was particularly thrilled to start reading it, but i did end up enjoying it

holes again, had to read it for school. i barely remember the plot of the book, since i read it so long ago, but i remember being fairly captivated.

the giver again again, had to read it for school. i sort of remember the plot, it was pretty interesting. my memory is very vague, just like most of the others, but i know i also enjoyed this book

first series of warriors books + book 1/2 of the 2nd series read these in like 3rd-4th grade, was an avid fan. kinda stopped reading by the second series but i have the whole second series so i sort of plan on picking it back up again if i ever feel like it. it'd make me sad to completely disregard a childhood interest like that. i have my doubts that i'll ever read it again, though

vol. 0-19 of toilet-bound hanako-kun by aidairo one of my favorite manga, i've been a fan of tbhk for years now. i have all of the books on my shelf, i even have a mitsuba plush. (i spent ridiculous money on it, but i can't say i regret buying it.)

guts read this as a kid, but now i find its far too relatable to be able to enjoy. i remember thinking being afraid of throw up was absurd, but now here i am. i am glad that i at least was able to like it as a kid before my fear arose.

from the mixed-up files mrs. basil e. frankweiler i read this when i was young, so my memory is a bit cloudy, but i do know i really enjoyed it. i've been planning on re-reading it for a while now, but i just can't seem to find the time

uzumaki read this one recently, and i really enjoyed it. i've always been a fan of horror, but sometimes it just feels so repetitive, ghosts, and haunting, and stuff. uzumaki felt unique to me, which is what made me like it so much. i thought the idea of spirals being cursed was interesting, and the premise of it being cursed to repeat over and over again in a loop (a spiral!) was also very interesting. i also really liked kirie.

bridge to terabithia read this is a child, it made me cry. i liked it though

the hunger games, catching fire, and mockingjay hated this with a burning passion, always had to read it for school and i always found it so incredibly boring for some reason. i still dislike the books. i have nothing against anyone who likes the hunger games, though. the first book wasn't that bad, admittedly, but the ones after felt like brainrot to be forced to read, for me, but that's just because i didn't like them. i can understand the appeal.

bungo stray dogs: beast vol. 1-4

ASAGIRI IS EVIL AND ATSUSHI BROKE MY HEART. ODA AND DAZAI. on a brighter note this made me appreciate akutagawa's character more and also kenji and akutagawa's friendship is so cute. this also made me like kenji more (he was one of my favorites before i even read this)
