...about a recent drawing

(IDK IF THIS IS BLOG WORTHY LOL I JUST REALLY LIKE HOW THIS CAME OUT LOLLLL)

anyways...

saw a video from like ~2015 about a weeaboo showing off "cute japanese poses" (her words, not mine) and one of them was called "koakuma" or "little devil" and thought it was really cute, so i drew deimos doing that pose. 

the process of drawing this was actually pretty easy... sorta. 

you see, i usually draw on my laptop but it's on its last legs. its battery capacity is literally 0 lol, so it has a hard time processing each pen stroke... which is unfortunate because i enjoy drawing on my laptop... in my room in my nice ol' bed... regardless, i have a pc, so i can still draw! therefore i am happy. ^3^

being that this pc is much younger than the laptop, it's much faster and works *sooo* much better, and it made me realize just how fun it is to draw little details myself rather than using brushes or stickers.

i couldn't work with too many layers on the laptop, or else it'd lag, so i'd cut corners a lil bit and use brushes or stickers. which was fine, it worked, but i didn't give me the same satisfaction as drawing it myself did.

also with this pc, the tablet has a permanent slip(?) i don't know how to explain it, but the brush feels constantly slippery, which isn't a bad thing, funny enough. when i'm sketching, it actually feels kind of like drawing with a pencil, which i find helps me sketch more freely. it like... turns off this weird need i have in my brain for my initial sketches to be perfect somehow. and it's pretty non-existant when i turn up the stabilizer to line, so i don't mind it.

ANYWAY! about the actual drawing

i wanted to draw something cutesy. i made a playlist for deimos and filled it with cute nightcore music because i think that's what deimos would genuinely listen to, and i originally drew a cover for it:

i don't hate this cover, but i feel like i fumbled the bag with it :-\. i feel like i made his hair too long, it doesn't really have a shape, idk what the hell is going on with his hat and bandages, his pose looks weird... there's a lot i don't like about this image. i don't feel like it captures the "RAWR XD" 2000-2014 scene kid energy i was looking for. and even though this most recent drawing wasn't made to replace the playlist cover, i feel like it captures that energy i was looking for. 

i also wanted to merge some like, gyaru-esque vibes in there? i don't know how to explain it, but there were like this genre of gyaru images where they're in a photobooth with their gyaru pals & they have cute little stickers and phrases like "no friends no life" written on them, and i thought they were sooo cute. so i compiled as many of those images as i could and forged this image:

idk how to end this post... so i guess i'll explain 2 of the lil quotes next to him hehehe...

"i am the antonymph of nevada" is in reference to vylet pony's "antonymph"! i think i spent 50% of the drawing process looping that song... it's really good...

"eat it!" is in reference to a pic of deimos' shoes from the madness movie :-3 heheh
