✩As an Emo/Born from a wrong generation kid. I had lists of things that fit the description... ✩
I technically I live in the Philippines, the economy of my own country that I've lived, had major contemporary issues that they had to deal with, and it understandable, because I've educated from my teacher.
✩So this is the list of items that I'll I can afford or not... ✩
✩CDs✩ - So it's already the modern day, here Philippines, I don't think they're using CDs anymore, nowadays, they can listen through Spotify and Other Platforms.
But the question is "Can I afford a CDs?", nowadays people around CDs but CD players do exist around through markets. But I can't seem to find albums that I've wanted. even though I can order them online, it's shitty expensive, especially when it comes to shipping.
Well the only thing I could listen through albums is by downloading them, instead of just listen to shitty Spotify with the stupid shuffle and these weird fucking ads, and I can't convince my mom to get me a premium Spotify.
✩Clothing and Accessories✩ - Well sometimes I can buy them online and yet I can find them somewhere around malls and thrift stores. But It's not easy to find them clothing and accessories that I'm interested, not anything around doesn't sell emo related stuff, but according to my online friends (Which also lived at the same country that I lived in)
they sometimes found a store who sells band shirts (not everywhere around the world had hot topic you know) well lucky for them I guess...
✩Band Posters✩ - They don't sell posters aswell. I'll just had to print and glued them to my wall. That's the only cheapest option
✩Makeup✩ - I had borrow my mom's eyebrow pencil and her eyeshadows so I could get my emo look, but luck enough she let buy a hairspray to tease my hair, and I won't get called Justin Bieber EVER AGAIN
✩Concerts✩ - Well I never been though concerts before in my current teenage life, I'm not even aloud to go out of the house and hang out with my friends (Ironic part is that I don't have much friends lolz) and even if there was small venues around my hometown, people doesn't play cool Nu Metal or Other alternative music. They just play fucking acoustic covers, covers, mainstream shit, pop and other overated mainstream songs that I'll never listen to that shit over again.
And ohh, I almost forget, even if emo bands would come over to Philippines for awesome tours, they only would go through the capital city than my hometown that I've lived (we don't have a huge stadium/arena at my hometown, including the other cities around the Philippines except for the capital city 'Manila') so even if I could take a flight to get there, it's expensive to take a flight including the tickets for the concert.
✩Conclusion✩:
I know this sounded too much, and yeah that is it... To conclude this I'm not an entitled kid, I'm trying to keep my patience and composure when it comes to buying stuff, and our parents aren't made of money, everyone knows that.
Be grateful when you bought your stuff that you wanted. Cuz I've seen a lot of ppl bought a lot of stuff more than I do and I'm not alone here as well.
Teenagers like me can relate to this. And just remember that your parents aren't made of money, they just sacrificed from you in order to get you happy.

being a filipino emo kid is a nightmare lol.. i feel americans have a looot of access to emo stuff (esp thrifts with good stuff.. one of my biggest gripes) plus.. the hot weather and heavy puritan culture makes dressing in all black and having emo hair crazy hard
