The death of the monolithic modern internet

The modern internet fucking sucks. Algorithms that make money by holding your attention in fixed cycles so you never can leave. I'm hoping that the increase of the contradictions of the modern web have increased enough to the point that splinters can thrive, and I hope that the surge in content here is indicitive of this change. This definitely fits what I want out of social media more than anything else besides maybe tumblr. Gonna make an effort to use here
