Thanksgiving Break is in a week! I think I said this before, but I have mixed feelings about Thanksgiving Break. On one hand, I get to see my family and return home. On the other hand, I have to prepare for exams, finals, and projects when I get back. Ugh, I wish I could just put everything on pause! Too bad I can't...
This past Sunday I went to a Diwali event with a friend of mine. I'm not Indian or of Indian heritage, so it was interesting to be on the outside seeing in. On Monday I went to another calculus review session and met some new people once again. On Tuesday, I went to my leadership meeting, which will likely be the last one until next semester. On Wednesday I went to lab as always. Thursday was kind of weird, I ended up watching GlitchX that evening. Lastly, on Friday I just chilled out, played Just Dance, and got my clothes back from the seamstress.
Today was also a chill day (kind of). I've been having a hard time unwinding. Sometimes I feel like my roommate hates me.
Anyway, let's talk about something a little nicer: GlitchX! GlitchX was so good, that I almost thought it was Friday night. I wasn't able to stay for the whole stream, but even then, I can confidently say that it was super fun! The AMAs were informative and even sparked a movement of fan art for TADC (Jax in a suit!). It was super cool seeing and hearing Michael Kovach live, I had no idea he just...sounded like that lol Also, I was surprised that Saberspark hosted the VA gameshow. I really don't know who else would have fit the role though. Lastly, there was a dramatic reading of that military shitpost by N. I wasn't there for that, but so many people captured it and posted it online that it's kind of hard to escape. Oh, and one more thing, there was a trailer for Murder Drones episodes 7 & 8 that was shown after Liam Vickers's segment! Man was it chilling! People are already performing analyses! I already love spring, but now I'm even more excited for my favorite season to arrive so that I can see the conclusion of one of my favorite shows!
Oh, and about my status, I'm still displaying the song that's stuck in my head, I'm just confined by a character limit. Nothing's Gonna Change My Clothes is such an upbeat song. It's so warm and fuzzy and gives off "November vibes". I feel like this is partly due to the album releasing in November (media tends to feel like the season it's released during). It reminds me of being at home for some reason and is kind of making me homesick!
So, this week will be a lot of work. I have a test on Monday, a lab final on Wednesday, and various events to attend virtually each evening. It also appears that it's going to be super gloomy this week, which sucks.
Now, I'm going to name the things I'm looking forward to this Thanksgiving break. One, being home with my family, and going back to my hometown, obviously. Two, possibly reconnecting with an old friend? Three, the release of Procreate Dreams and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. And four, to wrap things up, I'll be going to the Iron Bowl with my dad!
I hope to push through this week.
