e-blast #2: Xtina and Eminem from start to end

Good morning my favorite gossip lovers, Gossip Girl here. Today I'm going to talk about something that has been going on since 1999: the Eminem and Xtina beef. I wanted to talk about this because sooo many people still don't have a clue what happened.

Almost everyone ships them, since there has always been some kind of seggsual tension between the two. Yes, I am one of those people. Whatever...let's just spill the tea. Shall we?

As I mentioned, this feud started in 1999, when Christina was just 19 and Eminem was 27 (such a big difference in age, ikr). It was actually Christina who started this, when she commented on his marriage to Kim Scott on MTV, saying that they had a secret wedding and that some of the violent lyrics that he had written in his songs were directed to his wife.

Eminem quickly responded by mocking Xtina in his song "The Real Slim Shady" and then she told MTV that whatever he said was disgusting and untrue. Apparently, he called her a "little b*tch".

That's when things were starting to get interesting ;).

But that was not the only song in which she was referenced. Two years later, he threatened her in "Off The Wall": "When I grab her by the hair and drag her across the Sahara".

In 2002, Christina responded in one of her songs "Can't Hold Us Down": "So what? Am I not supposed to have an opinion?// Should I keep quiet just because I'm a woman?// Call me a b*tch because I speak what's on my mind. Guess It's easier for you to swallow if I sat and smiled". She basically called him a misogynist and also "thirsty" in an interview. 

Later in that same year, they both attended the MTV video music awards. I'm pretty sure most of you have already seen that video in which Xtina presented the best male video award and had to give it to slim shady. If you haven't seen it yet, I'll link it down below:

Not even a knife could cut this tension yk. This was very awkward but after the show they went backstage and apparently cleared everything up.

But this doesn't end up here. Eminem has continued to reference Christina in his lyrics. He seems to be obsessed with her, doesn't he? These are the lyrics to his song "Kick-Off" (2018): "F*ck Christina with a plastic spoon While I bump some G-Funk and blast some Snoop 'Cause her double G-cups are massive, huge! It's fun for me just to grab a b00b". 

I think Xtina was right. If someone ever wrote such things about me I would think they're disgusting. Anyways, in 2019 she commented on this on a show:
