in honor of the fact that i actually get to see thursday for real
next year for their war all the time tour i wanna do a little blog post
about the album sometime soon!
i say for real bc last year i did see them open up for jimmy eat world. it was a great show for sure and jimmy eat world are great. definitely one of those bands that everyone knows but like... still feel underrated, u gotta listen to their albums man, forreal. ANYWAY i had nosebleeds in this big stadium so it kinda felt like i didnt Really see thursday, u know? and theyre coming to a relatively small venue here which feels like a more appropriate setting for a thursday show lol. (side note: geoff rickly's book, someone who isn't me, is great and if u get the opportunity to pick it up u definitely should).
anyway, ive played around with the idea of writing about music in my free time but never really committed to it bc i dont really trust my writing skills.
ive never thought of myself as having much of a writers soul (lmfao) but i guess the reality is that ive never really tried? i think part of it is the fact that ive always had some kind of presence online that i feel is too much of an extension of myself for me to feel comfortable doing something poorly in "public". does that make sense??? and my journaling always ends up being more like note taking than something id consider "writing" u know. so anyway thats all to say this little site is so anonymous and its a fresh start for me so i think im more comfortable putting my actual thoughts on here in a kind of long form blog post kind of way.
