fly boy blue/lunette [SPOILERS OF SONG]

fly boy blue/lunette has cute little harmonies going the whole song along with a lot of syncopation which gives it a light and fluffy vibe. the lyrics are somewhat depressing which offsets that nicely. couldn't tell you objectively the storyline of the character/person that is followed throughout the song, but i can tell you the theory. so, young boy who also happens to be a former parliament member is dancing in a fucking yknow the little sentimental MUSIC BOXES yes in one of those and he's dancing and no one notices him and goes back to his "oldest friend" (it's drugs probably or maybe death) and in this high or maybe after life he is on a trampoline watching a blue bird yknow fly. this little mp comes down from his high and he is going through the natural pressures of being a politician while trying to keep up with his personal life but his new friends dont know his name. it is entirely possible that he is in some weird after-life world after overdosing maybe idk pretty vague but yknow thats music for you. then i think hes talking about his cigarettes are gonna kill him from lung cancer or whatever and how it takes effort for him to breathe. so now hes all like omg im dying and is like i wish i learned from my mistakes like my mother taught me but yknow i still want the whiskey and to be buried with a pack of cigarettes for funsies. then there is a nose scar created by a rose thorn and i am so unsure what that is to represent. im pretty sure the boy is upset with the audience like omg you didnt actually get that scar from a rose thorn you piece of shit you probably got it in a much cooler or sad way and aren't telling me. 

anyways, a really funky sounding song thats also slightly offputting but i love that about it. its pretty adorable im ngl and would rate it a solid 7/10, a 10 being Exit Music (For A Film) and a 0 being some nickleback song that i don't listen to
