This is about St. Germaine Cousin, as you can see in the title.

She was born with a deformed right hand, and she also had scrofula. Her mother died when she was an infant, but her father soon remarried, but there was a problem: her stepmother was mean.  She didn't like Germaine due to her disabilities, so she abused her. She thought her scrofula was contagious, so she let her sleep in a barn, in the cold, where her only warmth were her sheeps. Germaine never let those evil acts stop her from being nice to her stepmother, and grateful to even have one. Germaine stayed faithful and prayed everyday so she would never be missing food or water.

One day, there was a flood, and some people claimed they saw a stream of water open up, so Germaine could get to mass in time. That wasn't the only miracle to happen when she was alive. One day, she came home hiding something in her apron. Her stepmother, thought she was stealing food, so she went there and screamed at her, then Germaine opened her apron, and showed her some summer flowers. But there is a catch: it was the middle of winter!

Sadly, one day Germaine was found dead in the cold barn she slept everyday, at 22 years old. She was burried, and then more than 40 years later, she was found pratically intact, with almost no signs of decaying. There are stories about people who were cured of their illnesses when touching her casket!

Germaine is the saint who guided me into being christian again, and she is helping me deal with my religious trauma. She is just such an amazing saint, and she makes me so happy! I think of her all the time, and I will 100% celebrate her feast on June 15th :3 I want to go to Pibrac one day, to visit her basilica... I have to learn french first! I am studying so hard.
