Terrance loves you

Lana del Rey’s album honeymoon (2015), has one of the most meaningful songs to me. Though I apply it to my own circumstances the meaning behind the song is truly beautiful and surprising. 

Lana has stated that two of her biggest idols in the music industry is Elvis Presley and David Bowie. Her interest for Bowie is expressed throughout this song. Explaining the heartbreak of Bowie losing his older brother and best friend, Terrance, who happens to be schizophrenic. This shaping, a lot of Bowie’s carrier. 

The lyrics and overall emotion written into this song never fails to bring tears to my eyes. We all have different perceptions of songs but still the true meaning behind “Terrance loves you” is truly gorgeous.
