Pyramid Head is only supposed to be in Silent Hill 2

Many people get this confused because of the constant movies and games bringing him back, even to the point the creator/artist said he regretted even designing Pyramid head. Masahiro Ito (The Series Artist) and Team Silent, only intended Pyramid head to be in Silent Hill 2 (A video game made in 2001) because he was a manifestation of James Sunderland's (the main protagonist of SH2) guilt and lust for something he had done (NO SPOILERS) so it seems stupid for people to keep assuming Silent Hill is just about trauma and guilt when in fact the original plot is about a town with a mysterious cult.
