HAII every1, it's been a while since I've made a blog post so I thought I'd just share some of my favorite scene revival music, cuz a lot of ppl talk a lot about the old MySpace stuff on here, but I barely see any discussion of our nu-scene queens!!

The song you're listening to rn is one of my favorite songs everr, it's a cover of Hello Seattle by Owl City from one of my favorite underground screamo kings "feelsreel" he's a rlly cool dude I've even spoken to him on discord in the past the whole skramz scene on Bandcamp is really tight knit and its super cool 2 see!! neways I highly reccomend checking this artist out, their music means a whole bunch to me! I'd reccomend their debut LP "7hearts" is has "Alicorn Amulet" which is my second favorite song from him!!

ONTO A GENRE THAT MOST OF YOU PROBABLY ASSOCIATE WITH SCENE MORE, CRUNKCORE!! Kuma_AKA... is one of the only 3 maybe 4 artists out rn that makes Crunkcore that's like consistently amazing, she recently dropped her debut LP "Neon Streaks and Swirls (In That River of Holy Black Cum)" which came after two amazing EPs showing the potential they had for a full release and OMG!! THEY DELIVERED!!

More more Crunkcore (and electropop too, they don't scream on every song)!! SpaceHey's very own DART DARLING!! idk if you've ever heard of them or saw them advertise on this platform, but I actually originally found them while scrolling the #crunkcore tag on Soundcloud for liek.... HOURRSSSS!!! Until I found their "Scene Sixteen" mixtape (which was the only album they had out at the time) Neways they're super cool, have soooo much swag, and make music that sounds like THIS:

(this is one of their less hardcore songs, but it's amazing one fo my fav pop songs this year..)

AND AS AN ADDITION 2 THIS!! Frequent Dart Darling collaborator/fellow Nu-Scene Musician MAYA MALICE!! who just recently released their debut LP! GO LISTEN TO SANCTION ON SOUNDCLOUD!!!(I'd link a song of theirs but.... idk how to embed soundcloud links and they don't have any YT uploads XP)

Onto less electronic genres... NEON POP-PUNK!! u name it.. Fall Out Boy, MeYouAtSix, or.. god forbid.. Panic at the Disco... Neon Pop-Punk was HUUUUGE in the scene era and while its super rare to see it in it's raw form nowadays there's still some influence left over in some underground projects namely the Angel Electronics record that's entirely pop-punk (with heavy Easycore influence) but has a song that's straight up Neon:

There's also the Slaney VS Sodasteal projects that are ALL worth checking out imo (even tho they're less "Nu-Scene" and just Scene inspired they kinda move in their own lane when it comes to mixing genres and leans more toward hyperpop), but just on the topic of Neon Pop-Punk their 2022 debut LP has TWO BANGERS in this genre.. I just couldn't choose which one so... here's both!!

^ This song has some neon pop-punk elements but also def pulls inspiration of electropop bands like Metro Station, Medic Droid, and Kill Paradise

^ this song is a more traditional and "emo" approach on that genre.. def way less scene but.. it's adjacent and I think it's worth checking out ;-;

HERE'S SOME HONOURABLE MENTIONS!!:

Oatblood: one of the craziest producers out on soundcloud rn I think they have 2 stop playing with all these digicore artists and commit to dropping a solo LP or even EP since all their solo crunkcore songs are so BANGIN!!

StevieStarlight: SPECIFICALLY HIS MAY 2ND 2020 LP "PERMANENT" this is more like a Nickasaur! singer-songwriter approach to scene music, but I'm like 60% sure this just just makes digicore and hyperpop now

Korra Rain: some real Ayesha Erotica/Millionaires shit here I'd have put her on the list but she only has like... 3 songs out rn so we'll see what develops!!

6arelyhuman: they're mostly digicore which is wtv 2 me but they have some pretty sick scene electropop stuff off their newest album

KeliaKreepz: has some nice crunkcore singles but no album out yet, keep an eye out!!

Kirā キラー: same thing as Kelia, has some super sick singles but no album or project to speak of!! keep an eye out!!

so yeah.. that's my list!! I might've forgotten some people but I hope I introduced you to someone new today !! ^_^ !!!
