26 | i remember

recently I had a double date with another couple. It was very fun, but it was a little weird because I used to have a huge crush on one of them in middle school. Like yea, that was nearly a decade ago but it’s still odd seeing someone I was so infatuated with.

Like in 7th grade I was kicking my feet writing about you in my diary. Now I’m congratulating you on your engagement with your fiancé and attending your wedding with my own partner. It’s just so surreal when passing time is being shown at your face like that.

weve also talked abt the stuff we’ve all been up to and it’s been silly to me how different all our lives are. You’re telling me you guys worked at a weed shop and got fucked up in LA? Wow. Talking to them makes me feel so straight laced in comparison because I fr don’t do shit other than nursing school. I’ve never touched a drink, smoke or other drug in my life despite being almost 22.

it’s funny because here I am thinking about how I wish I had a more eventful life, but when I mentioned that I was in nursing school and asked them what they were up to both of them kind of gave me that “oh god I got nothing going on compared to you” type of reaction. Hahaha nahh I can’t wait to graduate outta my shit college.
