Pokedexquest

So I've decided to pick up with a project I started like a decade ago and try to complete the National Pokedex in trading cards. I thought that blogging about it would be fun, so every couple of weeks I'll add a new entry with the progress I've made. Here's the setup I'm using:

  • Every two generations get a shared binder, with different colored card sleeves being selected for each generation based on the game I enjoyed the most from it.
  1. Kanto - Blue sleeves, Red binder
  2. Johto - Silver sleeves, Red binder
  3. Hoenn - Emerald sleeves, Orange binder
  4. Sinnoh - Pink sleeves, Orange Binder
  5. Unova - Black sleeves, Yellow Binder
  6. Kalos - Blood Red sleeves, Yellow Binder
  7. Alola - Nebula sleeves, Green Binder
  8. Galar - Magenta? Probably? I haven't found a match to Shield that isn't just another shade of red yet... Green binder
  9. Hisui - Copper Classic Sleeves, Green binder
  10. Paldea - Purple sleeves, Blue binder
  • All regional forms, adding a slot next to their original forms. So like Alolan and Galarian Meowth would appear next to the original.
  • Each Unown form, Castform form, and Deoxys modes get slots. Basically any Pokemon that can have multiple forms as long as they appeared on cards. This excludes Vivillon and the Flabebe lines
  • All Mega Evolutions that got cards. Did you know that Mega Pinsir, Mega Banette, Mega Medicham, and Mega Abomasnow never got cards? Neither did Mega Latias, but Mega Latios did. Mega Sableye and Mega Lopunny appeared on cards, but only on tag team cards iirc. Wild right
  • All Gigantamax forms that got cards. Haven't found an exact list yet but I think they all got cards.
  • I think that's it? I think that's it.
I'm also collecting the SV 151 set, which I'm almost done with but will probably update in each post until it's completed. They're in mint sleeves with the 151 themed binder.
So yeah! I think this is going to be fun. I already have a lot of cards from generations 1-6 + Hisui (since there's only like 7 new guys), so most of the effort is going to be assembling generations 7 8 and 9.
Idk who still reads my blogs but if you do I hope you enjoy this project :>
