my dad is a film photographer and he gave my sibling and i both cameras! mine is a Nikkormat and is pretty old but i love it a lot! it's a fully manual film camera so i do have to use an app on my phone to measure the light so i know how to set the settings on it before i take a pic, and i have to manually focus, but the process of taking a photo are really engaging and fun.
Unfortunately film photography is a pretty expensive hobby and you need access to a darkroom to develop the photos. I know my town has a public dark room somewhere in our local theme park (yeah idk its a weird place) at least according to my art teacher but my dad has a little steup in our basement. You can find a film camera that isn't too expensive but the film itself can get pricey. If you have a collage or art center nearby you can probably try to see if they have a dark room.
very cool thanks for the suggestion, ill have to check it out!
