My family thinks i found the kitten on the street but i had the whole thing arranged

Lol I want to share this story because it is really funny and sneaky and I feel smart because I tricked everyone...

So i "found" this kitten under a car while i was outside checking the mail.. thats what i told everyone but really my friend's cat had a litter of kittens and since i already have a kitten i wanted her to a have a friend, but i knew my parents would say no if i had just asked for another kitten so i messaged my friend and she said that the kittens need a home and she would let me have one for free as long as it has a good home and life. So we arranged for her to drop off the kitten. And I, would lie to my parents and say i was going to check if my report card had arrived in the mail. >:]. They let me go and i went and got the kitten. I walked around for like 2 minutes to make it seem like i walking all the way to the mailbox.. and then i went back home. I actually did check the mailbox and there was only one card. So when i came home i opened and said "There wasnt any mail.. but i found this" and I showed them the kitten. They were all in love with how cute he was and i asked if we could keep him and my parents said yes.. muahahah. I told them that i found him under a car and that his mom wasnt around.. and thats how i snuck a kitten into my house.. and dont worry, the kitten is living its best life.. This was 1 week ago and when i got him i was told that he was female but just yesterday i found out that he is male. I named him Ivy but now that i found out he is male i wanna keep calling him ivy... idk thats all.
