october '23 (〃＾▽＾〃)

i meant to write this earlier in the day, but i felt that it was hard to come up with the words. but, i'm here now.

october came and went pretty quickly, as all months seem to nowadays. it was rather uneventful-- mostly completing school work as the workload increases and having a bunch of tests-- but calm! and now that the weather is cooling down, i don't have to worry too much about overlaying and feeling hot and uncomfy by the end of the school day, and i can go out more over the weekends! can't wait.

i got a few writing ideas throughout the month, but haven't really acted on any of them. these days i like to let them rattle around unless they become super detailed and i don't want to lose any parts of it. but, i guess in exchange i was able to read some good books! picked up the first daughter of the moon goddess book by sue lynn tan, and finished spring rain by marc hamer. even though the latter was the final in a trilogy, i found it enchanting and relaxing to read.

i found that my switch online expired T_T, but i'm not too upset since i've mostly been playing dw8e on ps4. it feels weird honestly-- i used to play splatoon so often, but after the release of 3 and seeing how ultra-aggressive the game is (especially around splatfests), i've been turned off. i know i used to be able to keep up with it and play just as aggressively in return, but i guess i'm just not like that anymore.

halloween was fun! i was able to come up with a last-minute costume and went trick-or-treating, which i haven't in nearly five years. was absolutely exhausted by the end of it, but it was totally worth it.

and, i joined this site! it feels nice to be here-- my profile feels like a comforting little corner of the interwebs.
