How did your guys' halloweens go?
mine was pretty good. I had a party hosted by my choir conductor (so not like, a super cool teenager party just a choir teen party LOL) and it was from 5 till like 8:30. I was dressed as a scarecrow, and I think i did a pretty good job making the cotume from clothes I had at home.
My choir conductor's really nice. Since she knows I have diabetes, she bought me a pizza that's keto-friendly, so I could still eat pizza with everyone else. Also! I tried to "eyeball" a food I was going to eat (grapes) for the first time, and I think I calculated right because i didn't drop low or rise high! :D but yeah. She also got me these no-sugar gummies, and they taste exactly like the real ones :)
Then, a ton of us all went out to go trick-or-treating. I went with a group of the older choristers, but then me and my friend accidentally lost the group,, I think because we were walking a bit slower. My friend had really cool makeup on for his costume!!! It's really impressive what people are able to make look real, like horns in his case.
Anyways! The trick-or-treating was really fun. I feel bad that I kinda made us lose the group, because I'm sure he wanted to spend more time with his other friends. But I think we both had fun together.
After that, the neighbourhood lit fireworks. My blood sugars had dropped a little low from all the walking (exercise makes blood glucose drop), but i pretty much ignored it because I didn't feel like testing my finger and treating it and all that. (Which is bad!!! dont do that!!). Low blood sugar also makes me sad and cry, so once the fireworks were over i cried on the way home, even though it was a good day? lol. diabetes is weird :(

Anyways, I continued to ignore my glucose monitor beeping at me that I was low, because I just felt so tired, but also I wasn't shaky or presenting any physical symptoms, so I thought it was wrong. I think I just have developed a resistance to showing symptoms of low blood sugar because of how often I'm low. So, when my dad hauled my ass downstairs and forced me to test my blood sugar, it turns out I dropped to 2.9 mmol/L! which is an extreme low, life threatening low.
anyways other than that my halloween was good :DD i got lots of candy from trick-or-treating and had a fun time with my friends.
