Happy belated Halloween!
Yesterday I was so disappointed because I spent all month feeling like Halloween wasn't even around the corner. No decorations (or minimal) in my environment, the lack of people even acknowledging it, no celebration, etc. etc. This spooky season just seemed to FLOP so hard and it was so saddening to me because I was looking forward to it all year!!
So I decided during breakfast that I am going to start celebrating Halloween for the entire week.
Some might argue that I had a whole month, and some might argue that celebrating for a week takes the special feeling away from the actual day, but I disagree.
Sure, I had the whole month to celebrate, but 1. I was busy, and 2. I've been BUSY. and 3. I like to think that's preparation time leading up to the actual day (and week of, ofc). and 4. I think it makes the celebration week more fun knowing you have a whole month in advance to prepare. A day just doesn't feel like enough to me, yknow?
Call me silly 'cause I know everyone's hopping the train to Christmas already now that it's November 1st... But I can tune it out, I think. I hope. I'm not the biggest winter holiday enjoyer haha. Besides, many still celebrate Thanksgiving and THEN switch over to the winter holidays, so fall celebration is still being celebrated! On top of that...
It's Undas, happy Undas and feliz Día de Muertos!
