Hello, everyone. I'm reaching out to you today to address recent statements made by Whisker & Vine concerning my status with the company.
Whisker & Vine's recent response, stating that they have no intention of dropping me as an artist, is simply not accurate. I understand the value of discretion in the industry, but there comes a point where transparency and authenticity must prevail.
While they claim to support my journey and are actively working to promote my debut album, "Welcome To My Bedroom", this doesn't align with the reality of our current situation. The album's performance has indeed been underwhelming, and despite their promises of ongoing support, I have strong reasons to believe that they are planning to sever ties with me.
It's crucial for me to be honest. The hurdles I've faced as an independent artist have been challenging, however I am prepared to face them head-on. To Whisker & Vine, if you're reading this, know that I'm actually not afraid to leave you guys. I'm certain that I'll gain a fanbase on my own, with or without your help.
Whisker & Vine have threatened to take my SpaceHey account information, and have also threatened to take my SoundCloud account and my artist website. This is all because of my recent blog entry I've posted on here. However, they told me that I'll "continue" to have backup and support if I delete it... the thing is that I'm not going to. They want me to keep quiet while they do their dirty work behind the scenes. THIS IS WRONG. As an artist, I want to release my own music on my own terms, I said this in my last blog entry. The fact that Whisker & Vine are refusing to let me release my next single because THEY'RE refusing to promote my debut album is absolutely ridiculous. They are single-handedly the reason why my album has been underperforming -- they are doing this ON PURPOSE, and now that they know that I KNOW about what they're doing, they're wiling to drop me and to take all of my account information. Once again very wrong.
Whisker & Vine are a soulless company, it's no wonder why they're so unknown to the public. If they ever approach you online, don't make any deals with them. I'm serious. As you guys probably know, I don't have social media. SpaceHey is the only place where I can talk about my music and promote it and say and do whatever I want. The fact that Whisker & Vine are threatening to change the password on this account feels very dystopian and inhumane. But at the same time, I have hope. I have hope that I can be successful WITHOUT them, and with your help, that might just happen. But only time will tell.
As I continue my musical journey, I'm exploring options that are truly aligned with my vision and dedication to creating music. While this is a time of uncertainty, it's also a time for new beginnings and fresh opportunities.
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Together, we will navigate the challenges and celebrate the triumphs that come with pursuing our artistic passions.
Warm regards,
ms spiraling
