Journal Entry #79: 10/29/23 - Near the End of October

Happy (early) Halloween!

October's almost over. On Monday I went to a general assembly meeting to talk with some people. On Tuesday I attended a small major-specific dinner. On Wednesday I went to lab, of course. On Thursday I went to a Halloween event and dressed up (most people weren't wearing costumes). On Friday I mostly just chilled out and toured an apartment, and on Saturday I went to the game.

The Halloween party was enjoyable, I got a lot of compliments on my costume and had some good Halloween candy. I also went into the haunted house they had; it was pretty scary, and I really needed a scare. It made me feel ecstatic about being alive! The apartment tour was also cool; it was nice and cozy. However, my mom isn't a fan of the apartment and signed me up for another tour today. 

As for today, I'm going on the tour I just mentioned, studying for my cal I exam, and finishing up some other work. I will be honest; I probably won't get the grade I want for this exam. I'll try my best, but there are a few concepts that I'm unsure if I'll be able to fully execute by Tuesday. As long as I try, I usually make a high C, but I want a low B.

 This week, the temperature will drop severely, meaning I'm probably going to have to talk to my roommate about turning the heat on. Also, I've been so busy that I forgot that daylight savings ends next week! As much as I'd like to rejoice that we get an extra hour of sleep, it's going to get darker earlier. I hate it when it gets dark at 5...

Anyway, I hope to have a good Halloween, a high exam score, and a good start to November.
