dog love (a poem)

i love like a dog, my tails begins shaking when you give me any once of affection

i follow around, waiting for more of that affection that i give back.

i let people treat me like a dog, you could tell me how a worthless peace of shit i am and hit me with a broom, and i will still love you, threaten me each time i try to go out and i get used to it, instead of getting afraid and whimpering. i just listen carefully, mistreat me and i will still love you, no matter what

i eat like a dog, i chew rapidly, without thinking what its consuming, when other dogs begin bothering me, i start get uncomfortable and just want to take it to my doghouse but cannot.

i get angry like a dog, i bark loudly, i bite arms, i bite legs, i bite everything, but in the end i regret it, i regret all my actions but know that it wont ever change, even an apology doesn't erase that you've done
