Thadingyut Festival

Thadingyut Festival is a festival where people especially young people pray their senior/ people who are older than them. You can pray with just hands or you can pray with foods, drinks , clothes etc. In exchange the older ppl give pocket money. Also you can light up touches in your house, lawn, etc. The reason people light up touches is because is to celebrate the Buddha's descent from the heaven after he preached the Abhidhamma to his mother, Maya, who was reborn in the heaven( correct me if I am wrong). I got a lot of money from praying. The older people kind of hate this festival because they have to give out money. It look very beautiful. Light everywhere and  all kind of light. It like opposite to Halloween. But this year there a flood happening so no light. Also my house got flooded the water reach knee area in my house. Good thing it stopped raining if it didn't we were going to drown.
