Stories: Senior Homecoming

Dear "Life as a Teenager" viewers,

It's officially homecoming season which is absolutely crazy to think about. It feels as if just yesterday I was attending my first homecoming dance as a freshman, but in reality, I was attending my last homecoming dance as a senior. It's the last year that I get to walk into my school's gymnasium with my girls by my side, ready to dance the night away. So I wanted to make the best of it.

This year I decided to do something different than the past years of how I wear my hair when I attend events. Instead of straightening my hair pin-straight, I put a wave enhancer in my hair that allowed my naturally wavy hair to flow freely. I don't think I've ever gotten as many compliments about my hair as I did that night. It made me feel happy, and confident about myself and who I was. Last year I wore a black sparkling short dress - which tbh is NOT my style - so I chose to go with something that I loved. I loved a burgundy one-sleeve dress that was short but perfect for me, so I decided to wear it.

Later in the evening, I went over to one of my close friend's house and we hung out for the evening. To reflect back on the past homecoming dances I have been to, this one was definty the best one.

Until next time,

Viola Black

xoxo
