♥ BACKGROUND ♥
Mori kei, otherwise known as Mori girl is a Japanese street fashion that originated from Harajuku! "Mori" meaning forest and "kei" referring to the style.
Mori kei centers around the idea of living romantically in a forest! You can compare it today's "Cottage-core".
The fashion reached its peak in 2009, and resulted in the creation of many Mori kei magazines such as,
- Mori girl lesson
- Choco's Mori girl fashion and style book.
Even though Mori kei has declined with the brands, true Mori girls are still rocking it today! It has evolved into A LOT of different sub-styles, like modern mori.
Mori kei can also be apart of your lifestyle! Some of the practices include living naturally, and staying away from fast fashion brands.
