Any tips for self taught bass?

I played the bass before the pandemic started, but when 2020 happened I stopped playing it and have barely touched it since then. I want to play again, but my “teacher” was my father, and as much as I really appreciate him he was a pain in the butt, I feel like the more he teaches me the less I want to play.

I was wondering if there was any songs that are good for practice and “easy” to play, or any tips you guys might know
