As a hardcore fan, I got to admit Weezer's released discography somewhat sticks together if you know what I mean. I know Rivers is very insecure about his writing and likes to play things safe with his songs. Although that's how Weezer's downfall started. Rivers decided to keep things radio friendly. You see the art of being a musical artist is to go out your comfort zone and experiment with your tone. Yes Weezer did during Raditude and the albums that follow after Pacific Daydream but what I mean is that their already existing tone that they had during Blue through Maladroit. That's where the demos come in. Most demos can chop it up to "oh it doesn't didn't make the final cut of the album." But then you have demos from the make believe era make you think, "damn why didn't this make it?" Well I believe Rivers just chopped everything up to "it needs to be a hit on the radio, because be honest do people outside of the Weezer community talk about anything on Maladroit? That album is criminally underrated. Idk that's just my piece of mind on the topic. Have a good day bro bros🤙
Weezer's demos have more variety than their discography
