Journal Entry #78: 10/22/23 - Just Like the Leaves, Things are Changing

Hi. So, this week sure was something.

Monday again was pretty chill, I mostly just did my work and immersed myself in nature. Tuesday not much happened either lol. I went to a floor event and sipped on a Shirley Temple. On Wednesday I went to lab, and on Thursday I went to another university event. On Friday I took a quiz and went on a date. Lastly, yesterday I went for a walk(?) and didn't go to the game because I didn't have a ticket.

I should probably talk about the date. One of my group project members took me on this date. It was pretty nice, we went to an escape room and then had dinner. After that, we kind of meandered around the shopping complex. We then got back in his car, and he held (and also felt) my hand. It was a little weird, and his hand was somewhat sweaty. Oh well, things are going to be awkward first, and comfortable later. He's never had a girlfriend before, so he doesn't know what he's doing. Yesterday he invited me to go on a walk with him and I said yes, but because it was gameday it was hard for him to find somewhere to park. We walked around town and tried to get to the park, but it was simply too dangerous, and I asked to turn around. We went home and talked about what happened. Bad dates are normal. I think he was just going too fast; I'm not going to disintegrate! Hopefully, we can move at a slower pace.

I won't say that the bad date ruined my weekend, but I didn't get what I wanted to get done this weekend. I've somewhat cleaned my room, and I'll probably do a more proper clean-up this coming weekend. I've also been trying to draw a piece that has my characters dressed up as existing ones for Halloween, but I've had trouble rendering Epsilon. Damn artblock.

October has felt really short for some reason. This is the last full week! We have a little over a week until October ends. Normally I'd be more excited about Halloween, but I have an exam that day! Ugh. Also, I don't want November to start, even though we have Thanksgiving break. Also, we're having quite the warm weather for late October. 

I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. I have a project due at midnight that I haven't been able to start. It's getting colder and darker, and the urge to crawl back into bed is getting stronger. I'll pull through, I always do.
