KAMATAYAN

I was meant to pass long ago.

To die beautifully, in your teary eyes.

For too long I have walked the Earth, and now I am a beast.

Shameless claws of salt rend innocent flesh.

RED HARE

A sea of white.

A sea of white rabbits.

One rabbit.

White rabbit.

Peering through the sea, I see blue.

Blue and red.

The red of my heart.

AIMLESS

Scattered ashes across the open sea,

I drift out into the endless azure.

Waves carry each part of me away – I’ve sunken into the depths.

It’s cold down here.

LAGOMORPH

Beside me lies a white rabbit, and sharp steel.

I haven’t the strength, but I’ll muster it regardless.

Driving it into my belly, I watch white fur stain with crimson.

Finally.

THANK YOU JESUS

It is a blessing merely to wake up, and breathe in the air of life.

The gentle dayglow and soft chirps of adjacent birds help to remind me of the gift that has been granted upon me.

So insignificant, yet it is I who lives everyday.
