Well, well. My first blog post in a while. And for once, it's not political. Anyway, I just finished playing the first #Bayonetta game for #NintendoSwitch, and I gotta say, it was wickedly fun. It was made back in 2009 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 and has been ported to other systems, but it still holds up after all these years. The combat is a lot of fun, although I did have some trouble with the quicktime events.
Interestingly enough, the title heroine has been praised for her highly feminine image and goes against several conventions when it comes to female video game characters, despite the game having a lot of fanservice and Bayonetta acting and talking all sexy, but the idea is she's un-apologetically feminine and condifent and not at all ashamed of her body. Even Lady Gaga is a big fan of her and was referenced in the music video for her song. "Rain on Me".
If you haven't played the OG Bayonetta yet, I suggest you give a go. I gotta play the second one next. Like she said at the end of the game, "Don't F#&$ with a witch!"
Bayonetta is wickedly fun.
