Beaten to death with a balloon animal

As of recent, I have been coming down with a bad case of my annual circus fever [thank you, probable autism] and as with my custom, I must develop OCs and be insufferable about it.

When I was 13, I made OCs for a ‘perfect family’ but just… made them all clowns.

They were for a video game, y’know? Surprisingly not stylistically similar to a JRPG [pixelated 2D and such], I wanted it to look more like Smile For Me and Subway Midnight. I’m an artist and I LOVE me some pretty stylized graphics that may or may not be low poly, I’ll be damned if I don’t treat this like an oversized art project of mine!

And you can miss me with those bazillion quirky Earthbound-inspired RPG jokes, I’ve never even played Earthbound!

Anyway, plot stuff, right… admittedly, the plot’s been scrambled and I really want to put an end to that. Scrambled plots make me so unreasonably frustrated, especially if they’re mine!

Most of the time, I end up going ham on the characters and world down to the itty bitty details no one is going to give a shit about [would anyone care about if these clowns honked when they laughed and snored, or the language of flowers and other subtle-ish imagery?? Who knows!]… and then there’s the technical stuff, too. Like optimization especially since there’s going to be a LOT of 3D stuff… but! We get there when we get there, I got sidetracked.

Plot! Plot? I’ll give you a shitty summary.

A sad and silent standard non-gendered RPG child named Endymion [fine, come at me with your quirky Earthbound-inspired RPG jokes] fell into a realm quite literally of their dreams, once upon a time.

I haven’t thought of a name for it yet so I’ll just call it the Dreamscape.

Endymion wanders the Dreamscape and stumbles upon a large house that looks like a fusion between a circus and a cartoon house [there’s a reason it’s a circus, I swear! Maybe I’ll talk about it next time?] and meets a bunch of clowns who are one big perfect family, they gleefully take Endymion under their wing!

Que real life bleeding into the Dreamscape and vice versa, so, so much surrealism, non-euclidian stuff, Mental Illness, surprisingly not evil clowns, the works.
