SO i dropped out of school which means i finally have free time, and i've been spending it reading books so here are some recommendations, for anyone who cares :p
The silent patient - they lock this woman up in a psych ward for allegedly murdering her husband, and for years she refuses to speak. A random psychotherapist takes interest in her case and tries getting her to talk. 8/10, immediately draws you in and has an amazing plot twist
Coraline - if you've watched the movie you know the plot already. A girl finds a secret door in her new house which leads to an alternative reality, but it turns out to be a trap. 7/10, i'm obsessed with coraline so this might be biased but the book is way more eerie than the movie and i loved it
Wintergirls - a bulimic girl commits suicide in a hotel room and her best friend, who feels responsible for her death, has to learn how to move on whilst also struggling with anorexia. 9/10, you truly feel in touch with the main character and the eating disorders are very well represented
i'll be adding to this blog as i read more books so keep an eye on it ^__^
