well. that did not go the way I expected. it appears the power of destiel has failed us. surprisingly I'm not suicidal?? I just feel a whole lot of nothing. tense nothing. it was hard to believe at first, and I'm still hoping to see mail-in ballots turn the tide, but... man, are that many people really that stupid? I hope none of my friends have killed themselves.

let it be known that oktoberfest 2024 in helen georgia was a complete wash and I wanted to kill everyone there. especially my relatives. but there was one highlight of the trip: I had an adventure involving fording a creek on the back of my grandpa's property and learning a valuable lesson that one should never cross a river unless entirely sure one can cross back. also the actual traveling part was fun

much has happened this week. I fortuitously stumbled upon a punk show at a local place I'd barely been to before, my nonna had to euthanize her 18-year-old dachshund, I redid my old buzzcut, I went on a trip up to georgia for the shittiest oktoberfest experience in recent history, I had an adventure fording (and briefly getting stuck in) a creek that was the highlight of the whole trip, mcr played a show again, there's probably something I'm forgetting near the beginning. oh also my phone has been refusing to connect to wifi or bluetooth for the past week or two so there's that

got my helix piercing post shortened yesterday! I knew I'd forgotten something between the cute girl and the hurricane in my post the day before. that was when I'd gotten my helix and septum pierced! my septum ring is an iodized bluish-purple titanium barbell, and my helix piercing is a simple titanium orb on my left ear
(definitely not for kin reasons). yesterday, after switching out the earring post, my mom and I had a great time at the local shops and cafe by the lake, and I just felt... unusually peaceful and content. it was nice. I can't remember ever feeling like that so strongly before.mossy :]
holy shit I procrastinated updating for the entire month of september. it was great!! I went to multiple new (to me) bars to see my dad's shows and just hang out. at one of them, I saw a cute girl with long black hair, a black-and-silver collar, a beige jacket covered in patches, bat-patterned fishnets, and big chunky boots. I even danced with her and a friend of hers in front of the stage! that was fun. turns out I still got sick moves, according to dad and I's friend group. the hurricane last week was... surprisingly boring. I got my childhood cd player up and running again and played some danger days and tikiyaki orchestra on it, and that was about it. the power didn't even go out for more than a few minutes at a time. I really thought florida would be a buffer for the storm, but in the following days, I saw online friends' whole hometowns swept away in appalachia. they haven't seen weather like this in about 110 years. hundreds of people are still missing. I can't blame them for not expecting it. anyway uhhhhhhhh happy spooky season also I need to shave my head again

microsoft copilot secretly installed itself on my computer when I shut it down and booted it back up again and nothing I've tried will disable the damn thing!! I guess I should be glad it didn't update until after the crowdstrike thing

a week into august and I'm pretty happy! got a second-degree burn making instant ramen (which was more interesting than distressing), went out to a lot of local places that I like, finally started listening to nine inch nails, and became a little obsessed with alien from l.a.! oh and I found the title of a belarusian goth song I'd had only had a 30-second clip of since 2021 :D it's called Π‘ΡΠ΄Π½ΠΎ and it's by ΠΠΎΠ»ΡΠ°Ρ ΠΠΎΠΌΠ° (molchat doma)
