it was late at night; everyone else was asleep except for me. i dont remember how old i was, but i figure it was probably sometime back in middle school.
i left my room and into the darkness that awaits outside my door. you see, i needed something from my mom. when i looked across from me, that was when i saw a shadow figure of a man standing right next to my parents' door. he was standing in an odd way, sorta of like in a squat. the figure looked absolutely opaque and solid. he had no face, he was just a dark void of an apparition. he was a shadow.
after staring at this guy for a while and gathering my courage, i finally walked over and through him. he disappeared immediately, almost like he was never there in the first place. so, i opened the door to my parents room and I was welcomed with even more darkness. i took a few steps in and there was another shadow figure standing right there by my parents' bed. this time it was a figure of a woman. she was taller than me, and her hair was to her shoulders. just like the other one, she also didn't have a face. for a shadow figure who doesnt speak and has no ability to make facial expressions, she kept glancing back at me with her arms crossed almost as if she was worried about something. i was standing behind her, almost to the side of her. again, i sort of just stood there and stared at her for a bit before walking through or around her to get to my mom's side of the bed. just like the man, the woman disappeared. it was weird af.
on a different day in the same week, i saw another shadow figure in my parents' room. this time, it was during the day. no one was in the room, but i had walked in there to look for something. the lights were off, and that shadow figure was the first thing i had seen when i walked in. the shadow looked like that of an overweight man who kind of reminded me of a butcher. he was just standing there. just like the other two, he was a solid figure who had no face. when i turned on the lights, he was gone. i turned it back off to see if he would return, but he didn't.

That sounds pretty scary, Im amazed how you seemed so chill about it. Ive seen shadow people before, and every time I always hold my breath and go turn on the lights. With those things, its better not to show fear. In my opinion they are something not from this world, probably demonic, since if it were a ghost it would take human from. Its probably silly, but Ive held that belief for years and use it when I think something paranormal is afoot.
yeah, I think the sight of them just puts me in a frozen state for a few seconds, but probably not exactly of complete fear (although I had some fear in me because it's the unknown) but just the fact that something paranormal like that was there right in front of me. it's unbelievable. you're probably not wrong about them being demonic since I've heard that whenever shadow figures around, they usually give you a sense of dread. they're so odd, but mysterious. it really makes me wonder what on earth they were doing and why they decided to make themselves known to me at that time. really weird stuff, and I wanna see if I can get more into it (even though the event made me too afraid to leave my room at night for the next few days because I did NOT want to see them again)

I think shadow figures are so scary to us because being a shadow is simply being devoid. WE cannot see faces, we cannot see eyes (Although that would probably be scary), its like being able to perceive a human but there is no true human there. The last I ever saw one I stared it down because I was once told that these entities are like dogs. The more they see they've scared you the more they will mess with you. Paranormal activity is so scary sometimes, I hope you don't end up seeing another figure again.

that's a PERFECT description of them, as ive been searching for a proper way to describe them but ive failed time and time again. also, thank you as part of me hopes i dont see them again either. im still debating if i should begin actively searching them out or not despite everything, but the thought of them showing up again is terrifying. but, again, thank you. knowing that you have also seen shadow people before, i also hope that you dont have to encounter them again in the future.

hi! i also see shadow people frequently (ever since i was maybe 3) and i have medium abilities! i think if ur into that stuff u should defo start looking more into how to make ur abilities stronger, id start w meditation! hope this helps! ^_^
