The Backrooms

The Backrooms are… definitely one of the concepts of all time.

I liked the original concept of it at first and then it got remixed and overused to hell and back that it kind of became sucky, y’know. Like mascot horror as of recent [except My Friendly Neighborhood, probably? People like that one]. The original concept just doesn’t seem as scary as it used to be. It just seems like, ‘ooh big piss room’.

ESPECIALLY the Backrooms Wiki version of it— collaborative projects where anyone can pitch an idea into are cool but it’s just so goddamn convoluted that it loses its fear factor. Is it interesting? Eh, a bit. Some of the levels and entities seem cool, I won’t lie, maybe I’ll revisit it again. But it’s just extremely complicated and sort of like an inferior SCP Foundation [although, SCP does have its own problem derived from complication, in my opinion].

But maybe the Backrooms needed an expansion? Who knows. Piss rooms aren’t scary forever. I dunno. I’ll add onto this.
