Woke up this morning in my completely sheetless (bare duvet, mattress and pillow -very chic) bed to the sound of a child screaming like a cockadoodledoo. I was ill and hungover, running on very few hours sleep, unable to breathe through my nose or swallow and desperately in need of the 3 mugs of water I promptly drank. My situationship was still asleep next to me but we soon woke up and had some sweet sweet sex that I had to stop because I thought I needed to shit which in the end I didn't -strange cockblock from my body there and a strange sensation too. I got dressed in cargo trousers, a pink knitted hat, lilac cardigan hoodie thing, white platform boots and a huge fleece. Me and my situationship went out to buy sudafed/lemsip, a smoothie, some treats for my housemate and check out the local fruit n veg shop. It ended up being fantastic. I got a celeriac because I thought it was what a witch in an anime pulled out the ground and it screamed and was cursed and ghastly but cute. Turns out that was a mandrake. Here watch this, tell me what you think, cute or cursed?

Anyway, the celeriac had a little laminated sheet of paper by it saying not to give up on the ugly vegetable and giving recipes so of course that coupled with its cottagecore aesthetic had me sold. I'll put a picture in soon u'll see. I also got some pickled garlic and obviously looked up the health benefits of it when I got home -turns out it was a tiktok trend at some point- but yeah it's good for you in loads of ways one of them being that it's got this mineral called selenium (something people take as a supplement) which can trigger liver enzymes and thus flush out the toxins from your body. Ideal after a night of heavy drinking.
Selenium makes me think of selenite which incidentally is the gemstone of purification. It's one of the biggest stones I have, I bought mine in Paris when I was very depressed -more on that another time maybe. The Ancient Greek goddess Selene apparently had an ever-changing personality that seemed to ebb and flow -same babe it's called bpd.
Anyway, back to my excellent day! I simply love to go into the little local shops on my street and feel happy basically and so does the guy with me. It's great. He gets like a kid in a candy shop with his potatoes, chillies and juice. I love to see it. It was sunny and cold and he got a hot lentil and bean soup. We were numb, dumb and pleased. The mango, pineapple, passion fruit and something smoothie and sudafed worked their wonders and I was replenished. We came back to mine and I've spent the rest of the evening watching seinfeld with the guy and my housemate asleep on the sofas next to me.
I'm done rambling now,
Amazing Amy out :*
