I went into a normal OBGYN appointment to be told my blood pressure was too high and we had to go to the hospital to have baby boy. I was 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant and we had nothing with us that we needed.
It was the worst experience ever and I am still suffering after effects because of the c-section I ended up having.
Oliver Wayne was born at 7:49 pm on June 25th 2021. Two weeks after my 26th birthday. He was 7lbs and 3oz and 20 inches long.
He spent two weeks in the nicu and I didn't even get to meet him for the first three days he was alive. But ever since he was born my life has changed.
He is my purpose. Everyday before him I wondered what I was doing with my life, why I felt so empty inside, and why the light in my life was always so dim.
He is now 4 months old and in those four months we have won some and lost some. I couldn't breastfeed even though I had my heart and soul sat on it. My milk just never fully came in. He had problems with formula and finding the right one and wasn't gaining enough weight.
But now my baby boy is thriving. He weighs 13 pounds and three of those he gained in three weeks. He loves his baby food and his paci. Hey bear is life and mommy is the only one that can fix it. He rolls front to back and back to front, and sit assisted. He babbles and is starting to teeth.
He is my best friend and being a mother is all I've ever wanted.
