Why is my friend being weird do they still like me?)

So I have this friend and we used to talk to each other all the time. Then they confessed to me that they used to have a crush on me before but they don't know. Though they kept telling me how if they didn't have a girlfriend they would rather date me; and talk to me about how much they miss me. My SO told me to put up boundaries but I'm usually good at handling them and tell them to stop. But today they kept on hating on me and my SO and I told them to stop or I'd block them and they didn't so I did... do they still liek me?
