i got a 100 on my quiz today and we’re learning about all the neurodivergent disabilities today
i feel very called out while we talk about adhd but i’m also pissed bc there’s STILL so much diagnostic criteria that hinges on adhd in childhood as opposed to adulthood (this goes for autism too but i won’t speak on that bc i don’t have autism)
just. bruh. the example videos were of adhd kids which is fine but it’d be great if our professor showed and went over how adhd looks in adults too :/ i wasn’t diagnosed until last year. it seriously hinders my performance in class and also caused me issues in my last job as well
idk i understand he’s teaching based on dsm-5tr which still is somewhat behind, hence focuses on childhood symptoms more so i can’t really blame him but *shrug*
