Uncomfortable

So this morning my mom and I were talking and she started starting talking about trans people and how you can there is only 2 gender. That you can't be a "they/them. Me being closeted with my family felt kinda uncomfortable. She has always made it clear that I can love who ever but like.. what she was saying was transphobic. I told how I disagreed, that some of my friends identify as they/them. And the rest of the drive to school was very awkward...
