Saw this on Tumblr and thought I'd post it here to spread the word.
In 2003, this tuboat soothing toy for babies under the Walmart Kid Connections brand was recalled due to a supposed subliminal message hidden within the ocean noises.
Parents claimed they could hear the toy repeating "I hate you" in a faint voice. Walmart initially contributed the message to misheard beeps, but recalled it anyway.
However, there is currently little evidence that this toy existed and no recording of the toy's audio anywhere on the Internet.
While this toy is similar to a toy made by Fisher Price (pictured below), the Fisher Price toy does not have the same audio as the Walmart toy.
