Nintendo Network.

Nintendo has announced the shutdown of Nintendo Network on April of next year. This marks the end of an era for Nintendo. Many games will be losing many functionalities such as Splatoon 1. There are rumors of the announcement happening so early is because of the hacker problem in both MK7 and Splatoon 1. These games faced attacks from bots that would send corrupted data and crash your console. So if you plan on playing Wii U or 3DS online, I suggest to do so right now or very soon before the Network shuts down. These servers are one thing that kept me sane during the pandemic, I will miss them dearly. Although Nintendo makes really awful decisions, I still have to thank them for the great memories I made with their consoles at the time. Enjoy it while it lasts.
