Why AP Spanish Lit???

I definitely thought AP Spanish Lit was gonna be like AP Lit (English), as in being given books by Hispanic authors and analyzing the chapters or the themes or the author or something. Like there's texts we analyze and paintings we connect but just a bunch of Spaniard shit, I know Spanish is from Spain but there's more Spanish speakers in Mexico alone not to mention a whole other continent that mostly speaks Spanish (I'm aware of Brazilian Portuguese and the many indigenous languages that good chunks of the population speak along with or instead of Spanish). I guess it's also the fact that I've taken Spanish every year for 5 years so the continuous emphasis of Spaniard Spanish and Spain as a whole.
