Chickweed Geometer Moth (Heamatopis Grataria)

A small yellow moth with heavily feathered antenna and pink bands on its wings sitting on a fingertip

A Chickweed Geometer Moth found at work!

This little guy (Which you can tell by his feathered antenna) was very cooperative when having his picture taken

This is the only North American species in its genus (haematopis) and has a fairly distinct look with its bright yellow wings and pink (almost red at times) bands

A day-flying summer moth, it feasts on chickweed, clover, and other low-ground "weeds"

a fun note, all the pictures on this blog will be taken by me unless otherwise stated, all information comes from various sources but the majority will be from Wikipedia and state conservation websites. I'm gonna try skyfishing soon so hopefully will have some interesting buggy finds to report :)
