Working towards my musician goal

So hey guys, I have always wanted to do music.

When I was really young, I got a drum kit! I wasn't taught how to play and my dad got rid of it cause it was "annoying".

I got a toy guitar and it was terrible but I liked it, never learnt how to play, couldn't tune it.

When I was around 10, I decided I wanted to be an animator. I now go to college for it and I have made great friends in my course.

When I was 14, I started getting into rock and metal music. I would enjoy singing along to songs and I kept being told my singing is terrible. I would post covers to youtube and I would get bullied for it.

I am now nearly 18. (in 2 weeks). I spent lockdown singing and trying to sound less terrible. I have def improved but I have a long way to go. I can hold a note and kinda scream. I have trouble being in tune though. I cannot afford to get actual lessons.I also would love to get a Stratocaster in the future.

I have also been writing my first song! :D

My parents don't know I really want to do music, They never supported me for it.

I will not stop working until I get to form a band. :)

If you ever want to get any computer software to put any music ideas down, I'd recommend Reaper if you don't have a DAW yet. It's probably one of the best free options out there that I would use if I didn't have Ableton. If you have any questions or would like any other recommendations let me know, I'd be happy to help.
