discover weekly #3

this week's discover weekly was kind of ass. a lot of the songs just repeated the same line over and over again. the songs i liked were alright. last week was a lot better.

i really want a banger discover weekly week. i remember one of the weeks i had flooding, she's green, and daydream twins in it. those three bands are in my top ten and i found out about them in one night through discover weekly.

marcel bones - i can't sleep: indie. chill nice song. 6.5/10

autolux - plantlife: shoegaze/dream pop. a lot to like about this song. the way it's written is really well done. 7/10

abriction - stargazing: blackgaze. i like the lyrics a lot. 7.5/10

the sundays - a certain someone: pop. solid. 7/10

venturing - vulture city: alternative indie. a side project of jane remover. i really like the way he mixes his vocals. might add this one to my unskippable songs playlist at some point. 8/10

strawberry switchblades - go away: indie. solid. 6/10

pile - worms: indie rock. a song everyone can like. 7.5/10

the angelic process - mouvement - world deafening eclipse: post-rock. loud af. raw af. 7/10

drop nineteens - winona: shoegaze. never really liked drop nineteens... or so i thought. i'll probably listen to this album. 7/10

deafheaven - worthless animal: black metal. great vocals. the song runs a little long in my opinion. other than that, i like this a lot. 8/10

widowdusk - i'm sitting, watching all of my dreams die in front of me: skramz. this song is the epitome of skramz and i really love this song lots and lots. whenever someone asks me what skramz is, i'm playing them this song. 10/10

dystopia - my meds aren't working: crust punk. don't know how this song wasn't already in my playlist but whatever. dystopia is always solid. 8/10
